Thank you!

I don't think I'll ask where you feel the equity indices may be over the same time frame!<g>

I enjoy your thread and your views, thanks again.

MB,
I saw you did a buy write on NEM recently. Why the Jan 2001 options? Why not write a shorter term call and make repeated writes if NEM doesn't appreciate as quickly. If it does and you remain bullish, just buy more if the stocks are called away. Also, writing them leaps seem to have limited your potential gain from a commodity that appears to have bottomed. My take on gold would be to buy and write shorter term calls. What am I missing besides 6 ounces of neurons?

Hi Michael, have you looked at y2k lately. I hear one fellow in Italy who is on the commission on it will 'look at it', after he finishes marking exams...All reports seem to be positive here (I still don't trust it), but Europe, etc, are behind. We don't have much time !

Michael, as well, I noted somewhere on si that the sec is looking for people pumping stocks...Interesting, maybe it smacks of desperation, but buying some techie or net stock on the basis of words typed on a screen in cyberspace is questionable behaviour anyway...Should the sec even bother ? One character on si was accused of this on one stock I had, but I pointed out that all he could have done was beaten me on the spread, maybe an eighth on a thou shares...Not the end of the world...

thanks

Howard
