JP, in order to have exceptional handling you have to sacrifice a smooth ride. This is why many US cars feel like boats and BMWs feel tight. I like the feel of BMWs myself. I do my own repairs and I am very impressed with the quality of BMWs. BTW if you get caught doing 110 they may cuff you. My father knew a guy who was clocked at 118 in New Jersey ho ho ho . Mike

OT - BMW's are great, and are some of the best looking sedans on the market. My beef with them is that they are nowhere near Lexus like reliability. I've heard of too many folks trading in their 7 Series over at the Lexus dealer... The car rags apparently agree, every time Car and Driver does a 540I 6 speed long term test, they love the car, but they always comment on how they should not have to replace the clutch, door seals, (engine in one case due to oil leakage), various electronic parts due to failures, etc. etc....
