My guess is that the consensus estimates only look at operating earnings as these are more predictable than timing capital gains. Yet CMGI has and most likely will continue to report capital gains either through stock sales or IPOs.

Last quarter CMGI reported 0.77. Am I not right? Go to Yahoo Business and check the numbers on the Research page.
But apart from the numbers: how can one ever valuate a company with
>30 redhot IPO's in the pipeline, among them perhaps the new YAHOO or the next Broadcast Com?
