The import of my original post was intended as a sarcastic commentary on the Management of Coms. It MAY be that a seachange happened when the USR merger was finally digested. I have nothing more than suspicions and conjectures, BUT occasionally a company can ruin its future by trying to cure the slowdown of innovation/ dedication within the company with acquisitions. IF this is true, and IF the PC market is truly transmorphing into more of a "commodiy" business then the "easy" money has been made already.*

Any company that has not repositioned will be gone. A good recent example of this is BORL. (the old Borland, now "Imprise")

I may be right or I may be wrong but these are SIGNIFICANT considerations.

I am not inclined to take recess from these considerations to take part in some spelling bee. :)

*Before you comment, please note that I have been VERY careful not to split the Gerund, I could have used, "money has been already made" just to upset you.
