Uh oh,

TLC is here. Sheesh, this thread could go to #1 on the hot list at this rate.

I better look for a good stock to pump and take advantage of this >>gg<<

" I'll teach you everything you need to know about short term TA."
Let me guess...if it looks like it's going to go, buy it. If it doesn't go, sell it. If it goes, sell it.
How's that?

Doug R

Hypester - exaggerated promotion
Promoter - n. one who begins, organizes, and furthers an undertaking.

Doug, You of all people calling someone hypster???LOL

You want to see hype, read the mindless, factless, name calling postings on Yahoo message Boards!

I think most anyone would agree that most all my postings about any stock has Factual information. Many times I include URL's / Link's to show were I got the information and so the reader can verify the information. If I am offering an opinion, I try backing it up with some facts.
You know the above is factual in of it's self!
Sounds like Promotion, informing, sharing information, etc.. to me!

Now, I know most of the time your postings are filled with, factual information, as your Chart reading eyes see it at the time.
But, sometimes I see stuff like:
HNV going to $9 by Mid. Feb....., XYZ Going to pop big any day now, etc etc
Cough, Cough...It is now March
OK, HNV was just one bad pick. No one is anywhere near 100% correct, but that sounds like HYPE to me and not Promotional.

If I was shorting HNV, I might say something like, there is no way the stock is going to move up fast. The FLOAT IS HUGE!! The Outstanding shares are Bigger then HUGE.
biz.yahoo.com
( notice the link to back up what I have just said? )

If Long in HNV I might say, the Insider buying is HUGE. Basel is buying up a ton of shares.
biz.yahoo.com

A TA person CANNOT prove anything except by performance of their picks. That is where I say, shoot for homeruns and not Doubles.
Your TA MIGHT Look a lot better.

Lets see, Stock xyz gets a great TA write up. Next day, the stock pops up a bit then falls back. Guess who the Daytrader was!! Not ME!!
Sounds like TA Hype to me!

When Sergio and myself got you started, and YES, WE DID GET YOU STARTED!!! I'll leave Sergio out of this and speak for myself only.
I Promoted you, even hyped you, all over SI. You know that , everyone knows it!
You were doing some very good TA then and helping others learn TA, and beleive it or not, even " I " picked up some TA knowledge along the way.
( I know you still help people, free and for $$ but the TA is getting a bit weak!! ) Anyway....
As I promoted, and admittedly hyped a bit, you all over SI and MANY other boards, your following grew by huge numbers.
The 56 thread'S ( use to be several at a time, not just one like now ) were almost always at the top of the HOT SUBJECT LIST.
Now, sometimes if it has been real slow on your thread and then a Large number of postings hit, you might get the low end of the Hot Subject list.

Then something happened, he started his Seminars. The Promotion had become a way for DOUG R to charge people $250 or so to hear about Membo's, bimbo's : > , PGDCEB, etc..
These are Doug's names for stuff that can be found in most any good TA book.
I pulled away, as so many others did the same. Doug started the self promoting to get the $250 from as many as he could. The Promoting started taking an ugly turn though, it started becomeing self serving Hype.
Yes, TA CAN, and is, used all the time as HYPE!!
Yes, Doug Daytrades his picks!!

Yes, YOU CAN HAVE TA HYPE!!

END OF HYPE STORY!
