Ben to make sure Tommy sees your question, pmessage him with a pointer to the post and the bottom question. IT is a good question and he may not see it if it is addressed to me.

Ben, you point out a dilemma in PnF that troubles me also. Adding to the quandary is the 5-point box LU chart which shows bearish DBB completely at odds with 1-point box chart. It does seem that the repeated crossing of the 100 point barrier, the point of discontinuity in the linear plot (1-point vs. 2-points per box about the 100 level), can create false patterns. I do believe that the logarithmic plot, which obviates the discontinuity, provides the more accurate pattern (too bad that log plots are more difficult to come by). On the other hand, the 2-box and 5-box plots also bypass the discontinuity of the 1-box plot in the region of 100 and can be used give a more balanced picture. As you have done, it is wise to consult other scale factors especially when dealing with patterns that bounce around regions of box-size change. Based on the above I agree with your conclusion, LU is not in a bullish pattern. BWDIK, am only a novice here.
