Romanian driver obsessed about sexual habits and mores of Americans. "All you Americans, all you ever do, is have sex, sex, sex..." A and I started looking at each other, thinking of strategy... A couple more blocks "You all go to the beach on the weekend and have sex, sex, sex, while I work all the time"...A and I exchange a few more significant glances... A was a Scot-greek combo, I the only true native here, in some sense, we know, as they say in San Fran..no one is a native (ok a poor indigenous joke, aai)... At some point, very shortly, as messages increase ad alta voce came the time to make a move "stop, we'd like to get out here..." In retrospect, we should have said this is our preferred spot, this bar, to have sex! Oh well, another missed opportunity! Second one, (too much a cliche to tell nyc cab stories?) cab had picked me up and in rear view mirror, was Jackie O also getting a cab. Long discussion, longer than I care to remember, about guns, rifles, murder, JFK,..., all the way to Kennedy.... ooof....mmm....ahhh...was good to get out of that one! But if this happens to a simple observer of royalty, think what the Kennedy's have gotten, suffered through, all these years. Observation from a friend... A new york bum soliciting...owing to the voracious viscitudes of the time, could you please, spare a dime Nancy, swearing off nyc cab stories and must get to work...
