I have been in SSPIF since 11/96 at $6. What amazes me (and I include myself) is what causes people to hold on to weakness in an environment of so much strength. Dell, America on Line, Csco, Lucent, even IBM would have given a better return. (So would interest free cash for that matter.)

It reminds me of the book "Inteligent Woman, Bad Choices". Here are truly intelligent people who are actively investing and under performed the averages. It makes sense of why momentum (I am buying this stock because it going up even though I don't know why) and index investing are so popular.

No wonder Napolon said "I like my generals lucky"

Holding knowing others will have triples when I am flat.
Blaming no one but myself and valuing the information that is shared.

Best, daaan
