NEWBRIDGE NETWORKS CORP ("NNC-T;NN-BHDNPQX")

AMERITECH CORP ("AIT-BDNPQX")

BCE EMERGIS INC ("IFM-TM;BCEGF-L")

- Timestep Hosts Online Seminar For World's Largest Extranet

- Ameritech, Bellcore, BCE Emergis, and TimeStep take lead in

supporting the Automotive Industry Action Group's (AIAG) Automotive Network

eXchange(R) (ANX(R)) Service -

TimeStep Corporation, a leader in secure virtual private network (VPN)

solutions, announced it will conduct two free online seminars intended to

help automotive industry manufacturers and suppliers connect to the

Automotive Industry Action Group's (AIAG) Automotive Network eXchange(R)

(ANX(R)) service, the world's largest extranet. The seminars, conducted in

cooperation with ANX service partners Bellcore - the ANX Overseer,

Ameritech, and BCE Emergis will be held March 15 and 24, 1999, through the

TimeStep web site (www.timestep.com).

The TimeStep ANX seminars represent an opportunity for automotive

suppliers and manufacturers - and the general public - to learn about the

ANX service, a network of automotive industry trading partners. The ANX

service was designed to provide a secure, efficient means of conducting

business-to-business communications and electronic commerce.

Two Part Seminar Series:

Both seminars are open to the public and can be viewed by registering

at www.timestep.com/anx. The first seminar, to be held March 15, is

entitled, Understanding the ANX Service: An Overview. Attendees of seminar

one will learn about the ANX service and how it can help businesses operate

more cost-effectively and efficiently. Automotive industry members

interested in joining the ANX service will learn how to do so, while every

participant will receive a general introduction to VPN technology.

The second seminar, to be held March 24, is called Connecting to the

ANX Service: "Real World" Deployments. In this session, participants will

learn how to get connected by walking through the entire process from

internal planning to deployment. Participants will also learn what business

benefits they enjoy through their involvement in the ANX service.

"The ANX service is an example of online commerce at its best and a

study in what can be accomplished when an industry works together toward a

common goal," said Tim Hember, President and CEO, TimeStep Corp. "We're

proud to be associated with Bellcore, Ameritech, and BCE Emergis in

conducting these seminars and proud to be part of the ANX service

experience."

Online Community

Participants can chat online with industry experts immediately after

the seminar presentations have completed. The seminars begin at 2 PM (EST)

and are approximately fifteen minutes in length. Questions can be asked in

a posting board forum, with frequently asked questions remaining online

through autumn.

TimeStep will maintain this online community to make pertinent and

timely information available on an ongoing basis. Participants should

frequently check www.timestep.com/anx to receive the most up to date

information on the ANX service.

About the ANX Service

The ANX network is a secure, business-quality data communications

network service that links automotive suppliers and vehicle manufacturers

electronically over one multi-provider virtual private network (VPN). The

ANX service is designed to meet the highest degree of security and privacy

for mission-critical data, with ANX connections replacing the complex and

limiting communications infrastructure currently used among automotive

trading partners. More information can be found at www.anxo.com.
