CK--- Military is an explaination well understood. There are silos and bunkers all over the country,,, in metro areas as well as the "NORTH Woods". Even in your area but a lot more in the Dakotas. If the buying of "extras" is not completed soon that will help fuel a panic. Few needed supplies that can be used over time anyway is "being prepared". The $540 of dried eggs mentioned earlier seems overkill to the point of stupid. Everyone has their own idea of "reasonable" and the media with the assistance of the UNreasonable could a bigger cause of panic than the Y2K issue overall.
