Dave,

My bloodpressure and general 'kick the dog' factor has gone way down since I have started using the 'browsemaster' program that lets you have an 'ignore posts from' list for SI posters.

From the looks of it, I guess the street-corner evangelist has returned to tell everyone they are going to hell and he, and he alone, knows the only way for them to avoid it ;-))

Ben A.

PS I didn't write browsemaster , though wish I did, nor do I get anything from recommending it. But if everyone used it, and they had similar 'ignore lists', the crap posting would stop almost immediately. Without an audience, the organ grinders monkey stops dancing.

David and all... I just got my March issue of Maximum PC and there is an interesting interview with Iomega's Ted Briscoe titled "Last Man Standing" It has some very frank comments about what has gone on with the company over the last several years and what he thinks about the future of the Zip drive. It shows a man (is that Ted?) in a torn and tattered suit with a Zip drive held by its parallel connector cord. In the interview he discusses why Iomega decided not to go for backward compatibility with the floppy, evolution of the Clik! drive and why it took so long to "re-develop" after the initial demonstration of the "n-hand" drive, why he thinks that Sony is on the wrong track, "Click of Death" problems and why they occur, various threats to their business... including networks, CD-RW and DVD drives, and their problems in the past with rebates and how they are now doing it right. It is worth a read if you can pick up the magazine. It is going to be an interesting year ahead. Be patient. I think we are right about at the bottom of the stock price range for the year. It may take some time to see 10 again, but sometime in the 3rd Qtr and if we get some significant news, maybe sooner. Having seen several long term "longs" sell recently over on the Motley Fool site, I do believe that these actions can be seen as a contrarian indicator. That plus the frantic, manic, negative posts from Rocky and seeing some on this thread being "converted" to seeing him as a "good guy" just adds another indicator that we have just about reached bottom for a while. Of course anything can happen with the overall market, but at the present time it is so narrowly focused that we will not likely see any tides that raise all ships until the market changes its mind about small and mid-cap stocks. My best to you all. Mel
