I'm still positive on ASND which I've held for over a year, riding it from 59 to 22 1/2, then back up again. (At the bottom, I was out of cash from averaging down, so I sold 400sh and bought leaps @30. Sold'm when ASND was 49. Rats.)

There is still a discount/arbitrage opportunity built into the ASND price which will disappear when the LU/ASND merger goes through, so this is an added incentive to hold. As the time nears, the price of ASND will rise to absorb the discount relative to the share swap ratios.

I'm also still holding some real dogs, one of which is PAIR which I just can't believe is still having so much trouble getting its act together. PAIR had the best and first solution for xDSL on the market. They had the first ADSL on a single chip which they licensed to Rockwell. They now have the AVIDIA system which provides tremendous density, low power/heat, and multiple protocols for the phone companies to service all the new ADSL lines they have to put in. The Avidia is being tested by several prospects. PAIR management just doesn't do what they have to do to please the investor marketplace. In addition, they seem to fumble in the sales area. I'll either go down in flames with this one or be rewarded with losing only a little on a buyout. Perhaps there is a remote chance the Avidia will do so well the stock may actually triple so I can make some money. <AUGHHHHHHH!>

Bottom line: don't you DARE use me for your investment ideas!
