Well, if you want to participate in the long term gains of a company, you have to at some point buy the shares. I've done so with EBAY, and these shares are now a *part* of my portfolio. I like the prospects for the company. I like the prospects for the stock on a longterm basis.

Yes, the stock is only six months old. That gives many shareholders fabulous returns even if EBAY goes to 20% of the current valuation. These stocks are volatile for good reason(s). Who's betting the farm?
