Bill Joy is the main man ...

what can you say? He's unbelievable.

Here's Briefing.com ...

As noted above, Barron's reported that Novell (NOVL 20 1/8 +1/16) and Compaq (CPQ) rumored to be in deal to create new range of cache products... Products would give organizations the capacity to store local versions of websites on office networks, eliminating need to repeatedly download info from the Net... Sales of caching devices totalled roughly 200 mln last year but are projected to soar to as much as 4 bln by year 2002... NOVL bulls see deal, if it occurs, as major win for NOVL... Would help company nearly double earnings a year out... Expect stock to rally to new high on story... Next stop 24-25 area.

Bechtolsheim, the original, Austrian, developer of Stanford U Network (SUN) seems out of sight. He used to own 6 % of the SUNW stock. No longer listed as > 5%, nor in management. Wonder if he sold in a huff. I guess Joy is the main brain now. However Scott is the strategy man. At least as important. I bought the stuff in 93 or 94 and it was widely fluctuating FLAT.At 21, which is like $ 2.60 of todays shares Somehow their strategy turn out to be useful.

I hope it continues
