Robert,

You have me looking a little closer at the real facts: all your
"facts" are based on opinion! From your last post:

"FACT1: IN MY OPINION ..."
"FACT2: IMO ..."
"FACT3: IMO ..."

Ok, ok ... I get the point! :-)

As much "insight" as you seem to have, being a shareholder, I too
am perplexed by some of your comments. While you like to use
quotes to try to add credibility to your posts, I have searched
out and read the articles you mention and have found that you
either provided gross misquotes (at the expense of Mercia), or
supply quotes that could be taken out of context because other
key sentences were omitted (again, they seem to be provided out
of context at Mercia's expense).

I too did some research. It seems that MetroNet and CY do have
a history. But how much of that "low opinion of Mercia" is
simply a case of sour grapes? Telus seems to be smiling and
MetroNet isn't!

For the record, I was at the IMAX and can provide actual first-hand
comments. I thought that for the most part, the launch was extremely
positive, so I'm not sure what angle your friend is coming from. I
thought that Mercia was well spoken and did a very good job of promoting
the new product. Perhaps Mercia's poor presentation at CFCN's studios
was simply, as you suggested, due to a lack of sleep? :-) I find it
hard to believe that there would be such a huge discrepancy without a
reasonable explanation.

Also, in an attempt to get some further info at that event, I had a
chance to talk to some of the Cybersurf developers and graphic
designers who were at the IMAX (and who apparently put together
all the visuals for the presentation!) From some of the comments
I managed to squeeze out of them, the future of the 3web software
sounded very exciting!

Now, to address your other comments, I have NEVER seen the
Canadian Business article posted on CY's web page or the
3web.net page, nor have I seen a press release that refers
to it! And I check out their web pages on a regular basis!

As for your suggestion that "the president may be getting in
the way of that break", I find it hard to make such a large
leap with little more than a one-line quote and a suspect comment
from a biased source.

Don't get me wrong Robert, I want Cybersurf to do as well as you
do. But the reality is that a lot of people, including myself,
simply disagree with your OPINION of Mercia's abilities.

JM

Robert Robert Frank Gary Robert… whatever!

Fact #1 (Not My Opinion)

As posted in my first message. You posted (June 18, 1998): 'I'm
meeting with a friend who was at the press conference and I'll
see if I can get any more info from him'. The only press conference
held was at the IMAX.

Fact#2 (Again Not My Opinion)

You posted on Thursday, Feb 18 1999 (reply 778). "I saw him do
the launch for 3web and most of the people thought he was on
bad drugs. What made it worse was that he followed the VP of
CFCN who is an exceptional public speaker." The only launch
for 3web was at the IMAX.

Fact#3 (Still Not My Opinion)

You posted on March 7, 1999 (Reply 805). "For the record, I
did ask my friend (who works at MetroNet and was at the IMAX
presentation) what he thought of the presentation at the IMAX
theatre. I did not think it was fair to post his very negative
reply at that time because I had not seen Mercia myself."

Not there. There. Aaaannndd not there. You get the picture.
I'm not trying to contradict you Robert. You're doing a fine
job yourself.

I don't want to get into a pis…g contest with you Robert about
Paul because it's clear that we have differing opinions about
his performance and the thread should not be used for
personal vendettas. What you need to do to start the ball rolling
is to write a letter to the CY Board of Directors. In the letter
state exactly the reasons why you don't think Paul is qualified
for President and your "factual opinions" to back it up. I know
this works Robert, because I did the exact same thing to get the
ball rolling to remove the last president of CY.
