Dwight, as an American citizen you have as much right as anyone to denounce leaders and policies with which you disagree, this, with as much force as you care to muster. You have every right to judge the sins of others, remaining aware that God will apply to you the standard of judgement you apply to others. You need not take the docile tone some here seem to think should characterize the Christian-- the feeble tone of people who believe not even in Christianity. Indeed you are uniquely positioned to recognize snakes masquerading as humans, and have latitude to vigorously call them snakes if you think it in some way constructive. As you perhaps remember, I once never failed to take the opportunity to call certain people here several choice names for the more disgusting of beasts. I yet have no doubt that my victims in a few cases are all the things I have called them. My grave error was that instead of taking pity upon them I celebrated their condition. Instead of praying for their repentance and change of heart, I laughed at and ridiculed them, enjoying the many ways I found to personally assault them. Of course none of this was appropriate behaviour, and so I have apologized for it. I have not read all your posts (I only scan the listing and pick posts that interest me), but I have read many of them. I do not recall any of your post rising to my level of reckless mockery and personal assaults. From what I have seen, you have stuck to the issues and where you have used mockery it was certainly not at all brutal. In fact it was not entirely out-of-line. You will no doubt remember that from Christ to the apostles to the church fathers, good Christians have sparingly used mockery, even biting mockery, quite effectively against their opponents. While we should not rejoice in the foolishness of our opponents, we are not proscribed from telling them and others of their foolishness should we think it serves a purpose other than our own sordid pleasure. Ultimately, of course, no one here can judge the appropriateness of your posts, whether they contain language that is inappropriate or not. And if no one can judge you here, no one can judge your spiritual condition and whether or not you are fit to be called Christian. So were I you I would completely ignore all such unqualified assertions; and I would continue arguing the issues just as I have in the past, pausing not once even to flick away the lunacy of one who so thoughtlessly claims to be God.
