Hyundai Released 64M SDRAM Sample

03/05(±Ý) 16:26

Hyundai Electronics has released the sample product of 64 MB DDR(Dynamic Device
Reconfiguration) synchronous DRAM, which is regarded as the next generation semicon
chip.

Hyundai explained that the chip supports the international standard, regulated by JEDEC,
the electronic industries alliance's semiconductor standards group.

Its circuit stroke width is 0.22 micron and transmits data over 2 times faster than
SDRAM in the same frequency.

This brand-new chip requires no extra equipment investment since it can be produced
under the same package and process with the current 64MB SDRAM.

The company intends to preoccupy its market with the commercial production of it from
the 3rd quarter of this year.
