Hello again:

>>>Romans 8:9
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. <<<

What I believe is that the spirit dwells in you but the baptism of the Holy Ghost is on or upon .

It appears we have a major, major, difference of perspective on this one. Christ did not start His ministry until He had been baptized with the Holy Ghost. Isaiah said the spirit of the Lord shall be upon not dwell "in" Him.

Brother John : a baptism is EXTERNAL, you don't DRINK the water it is not internal. The indwelling comes at salvation. That is why Christ told the Samaritan woman at the well She should drink of His water and never thirst again. He could have baptized her on the spot but didn't. I mean the water was available , right. The baptizm can occur at the same time as the indwelling this is not to mean that they cannot also occur separately and most often do. But in most cases I believe that most Christians are never baptized with the spirit. ( sadly )

Oh well, just a few points to consider, but I guess both of us have our minds pretty much made up about this one and thats OK. I have disagreements with my wife all the time but we still love each other.

gregor,,In Christ.
