"Whatever Brazil does next, please let it not include yet another increase in interest rates." - MIT economist P. Krugman Bloomberg 03/05 - Yesterday the central bank raised it's benchmark interest rate to 45 percent from 39 percent. ----- The interbank overnight rate was 29% at the time of Krugman's statement. We'll see what happens, I guess.
