One firm appears to have a business model, 2nd Generation E-Commerce, that precludes using the portals in the conventional manner... meaning they do not pay a penny for exposure. In actuality the portal is paying the E-Commerce site for the privilege of linking to it's site.

More to the point this firm has found a way to get customers without the use of a portal at all. The better than free portal exposure is a secondary method of gathering eyeballs.

The firm has employed and begun to execute the business model 2 months ago. They have already racked up impressive relationships that are in process of bringing 10 million or more pairs of eyeballs to the site.

Due to the ZERO cost of marketing they are insuring that they will be the absolute lowest cost provider of whatever product they bring to the web. Currently they will be distributing music, and Kodak film and processing.

They will have their operational site up by Friday. It's been designed by Cohesive, who currently has a few other sites to their credit; Netscape, Microsoft, Fidelity, Merrill Lynch, Music Boulevard, etc. www.cohesive.com

This company should show a profit second quarter '99. Much more to the story. The company is TSIG.com. Yes another Dot Com, but if it is, it is.
