I don't know much about Spyglass but I wanted to throw my .02 in about the future prospects about companies that are the target of a class action suit. There have been many, many companies that have survived and done very well after class actions. Two that come to mind are Chiron and Unisys. The impact on a company depends on many factors including the strength of their insurance coverage, how fast the company settles in order to get on with running the company and how good or bad a case the attorneys have (which impacts on the size of the settlement of course). For example, I am just pulling numbers out of the air, but if the Spyglass settlement ends up being $2,000,000 and their insurance covers all but a $100,000 deductible, this will not have much of an impact on their bottom line. As long as the company is not found to have done anything seriously wrong which would damage their reputation, it shouldn't hurt too bad.
