Blue, Sue, Kasha, Jim, All Pals - great lists! here ya go... (blabbermouth me couldn't stick to simple top 10 once I got on a roll)... MY NET PETS SHOPPING LIST (I don't hold shares in any of these - but got 'em sighted in the crosshairs of my laser scope so - what I'll get all depends on timing of trades & market moves) (not listed in order of preference) (* means on split list, or recent split... or recent IPO or spinoff) MSFT * CNET * TWX SUNW * ATHM * DISH ORCL * IBM * MGM NOVL CPQ FOX BCOM * CMGI * CBS DCLK CKFR MSPG DBCC 3COM WMT * EBAY * UBID BID Now pals, before you read this next one, don't get the idea I'm wallowing in it and then stop wishing me luck (Wish I were, trying to, but not yet). The amount of shares I hold in some of these is insanely small (there, I said it so you don't have to), and me being flexible am in for the long haul - from splits spinoffs IPO's M/A's and Everything (except options especially shorts) with trades ranging from Momentum otc Daytrades to Growing The Cream of The Crop Core Lifetime Holds - when the stock is or goes blue chip and rises to the top paying me income with dividends when I'm old. It's not the standard advice of the right way to invest and requires close attention also commissions trim the profits somewhat; but I find it interesting and have done OK with it so far, as a startup. Beating the indexes & most of the mutuals in '98 for my first year of tech/net trading while growing the shares, was good enough for me. Here's "the worlds smallest mutual fund"... MY NET PETS PANTRY LIST - LEVEL I's and Others Movin' On UP There - (Disclosure: Holding shares in these Bigs and I like 'em) - GNET * T * CNXT * AMZN * LU * BLS * AOL *-(w/caution) SBC GE YHOO * AIT USAI DLJ ATI TMCS * DELL * INTC * DIS ROK UMG VIA * MY NET PETS Level II's, Level III's, and PENNY List - (Disclosure: Holding shares. Stocks range from a few solid and even dividend yielding to most gotta be watched daily under the microscope) CENI * MFSI SLEU CNKT MSGI TODY DEMP OMKT ZSUN DNET PAYV MCNS GBL * PQT SCMI IBNL RDIM MBTI ININ SRCM SIRC Well pals there it is. Just LOOKY at all them 909's. Ooooooeeee. Re: What Does 909 mean? (addendum to Blue's post) "We're Riding On The One After 909" is Techride on SI Tread's Theme Song. When the Techs and Nets hold a rally, a cyber festival called "Techstock" attracts whatever gypsy musical players can attend in spirit. It's sort of like "Woodstock" only more impromptu. "One After 909" is An Oracle with many layers of meaning for Techride. Some grokked ... 1) One After 909 is Y2K and We'll Pay Attention and Ride On It 2) One After 909 is trading the 2nd NetStock split or even the 1st on its ups and downs around rallies & dips. It's when basis is out, more profits can be taken; all while same # of freeride shares are left in. 3) One After 909 is M/A announcement or other big news popping or increasing the shares after the split Have a great day... Best Luck in Stocks and All, Joanie
