Hi Walt, A PDAC short story. Back about 20 years or so I was at the PDAC. There had been a beer strike on in Ontario for about a month.(It was ugly...and dry) I was in a hospitality suite that must have brought a pile of beer in from Quebec. I partied there for a while then moved on ...with about a half dozen in my pockets. The next suite I was at had Phil Esposito doing some PR for them. Phil being a truly great hockey player zeroed in on my beer as soon as I entered the room. He asked where in the hell did I get them. I don't recall if I told him but in the Canadian tradition of warmth and generosity I offered him a couple. A short time later he came back around and asked if I would like an autograph. I said I would, where upon he pulled out a paper and handed it to me. It read, To ------ Thank you for saving my life Phil Esposito. I still have it somewhere.
