greg..re: dell directions and conservative approach to same... perhaps a point to ponder...is it being prudent/conservative or detrimental to wait to enter a market....first not always best...use your supposition of fast/changing markets....sometimes wiser business decision to wait until the dust settles, so a clear path can be viewed to guarantee forward success....dell did not initiate pc box making...as ford did not invent the automobile.....but seeing the direction of the initial companies, they innovated....to move to the fore front...most initial business models fail as they lose capacity to be flexible and meet the challenges of the innovators or late entries...who are fresh with ideas and capital...remember commodore computer...or zenith....
