Paul, Mary, Gene, re: ROW growth

I pretty much agree with all of you. One shouldn't get overly exuberant about growth changes in ROW - neither should this growth be ignored. The key to tech. growth is technical education. Here India is doing pretty well along with the Pacific Rim countries. These graduates strive to provide much, much better for their families, even if it requires immigration. I'd predict that PC growth paces the number of soles that fall into this demographic.

The key inhibitor though is government. I think U.S. policy is pretty balanced lately. It is the sovereign governments that must do the heavy lifting. I'd be cynical about any Marshall plan type thinking during peace times. Remember occupation was part of the Marshall plan. The U.S. pretty much dictated how to apply the resources. Can't do that in stable times.

On the other points, Gene, I agree with Mary that the developed world has a long way to go to saturate the Internet. The growth is so strong I could see penetration upwards of 75%.
