I've been on line since the CServe heyday (anyone else remember channels and sends in DOS terminal emulation? LOL) - and the stories of friends I could tell you about, before some of us women wised up, would curl your hair. In all fairness, though, when used with perspective, it can be a great thing. I've made some wonderful friends over the years from all over the world, and many of us all still get together regularly. More than a few of us ended up working with and for each other, and I've been to more than a few weddings where the folks originally met on line - including my own not that long ago. <g> But for all the 'happy endings', there were twice as many broken hearts, broken marriages, business deals gone sour, threats, stalkings and harassments. It is a one-dimensional view of reality here, easily skewed and manipulated to suit. Awareness and perspective are key - things that even the most saavy cyber-veteran can lose when it comes to issues of money or love. :) JEM
