Still enjoying your smug moral superiority, JBL? The Broaddrick story helps explain why House GOP leaders seemed so passionate in their hatred of Clinton. They thought he was a rapist, though they knew they couldn't prove it. They could have fashioned an impeachment charge for assault (the statute of limitations would not have applied to impeachment), but they didn't dare. The story was old, and Henry Hyde and company didn't want to subpoena Broaddrick and subject her to cross-examination. So they decided to have her story spread private part for something he wasn't charged with. Later, they pressured the media to roll the Broaddrick grenade into the Senate trial, with the hope that public opinion might change and the Senate might convict him for being a bad, immoral man. How fair. How constitutional. As a "rule of law" bleater and true blue Clinton-Capone style hater, I assume you would consider the "How fair. How constitutional." line to be the literal truth, eh? And of course, you are very, very concern about Broaddrick, and what she hopes to happen with this mess. Broaddrick herself says, "I'm just hoping this absolutely goes away in the next week." Just like the WSJ that got her on the record and the rest of the Clinton hating industry, right, JBL? As for going crazy, to repeat, I sometimes find it amusing to divert the omnipresent Clinton hatred here in my direction, but it gets old after a while. I'll leave you guys get back to "all Clinton hatred, all the time" soon enough. Suits me just fine, politically.
