by definition, a correction is unpredictable, yes?

Since we always have corrections, I can claim with 99.99% accuracy that we will have a "correction" in the S&P500 sometime. 8)

I have posted much on my site about "rolling corrections" that the market has shown where different sectors correct at different times, but overall the trend is up. Small caps are actually in a bear market, but since their weighting is small, it doesn't pull down the averages other than VTSMX did 23% vs VFINX did 28%. I have been playing this "buy the sector in correction" for many years with great success and am now sharing it with my newsletter and Suite101 readers….
