Robert,
What...You didn't see the headline on CNBC this morning? It said,

"JAPAN'S RECESSION IS OVER."

It was paraphrasing some big brokerage house report. Then a reporter came on with some blather and concluded with, "This is certainly good news for the United States." I got the biggest kick out of that headline and follow-up story. Wish life was so simple.

I didn't stop to hammer on the numbers - there are others here that do that much better than I do - but I recall that while reading that Bloomberg article that the results seemed rather puny compared to the size of the stimulus package. It could, of course, be the beginning of a trend.
