Hi wily, doesn't the OSR2 pertain to win95b? Seems we had a win95, then downloaded win95a. The OSR2 would be win95b, but this had to be purchased. When installed it would show win95b. My win98 is ver.
4.10.1998. Am not aware of any later version other than some patches.

Someone correct me on this one please?

As far as I know, you can only purchase OEM SR2 (Version B or C) as an OEM copy with a new system. If you can find a retail copy of Windows 95 in the stores, it'll be the original version with no updates.

Technically, you cannot purchase version B without a new system. Better said, the retailer can't sell it without selling you a system as well.
