And, as you know, I served my apprenticeship well being ultimately expelled from the K-forum, in 1996, for the use of the expression "goldschmuk" and for recommending that the goldbugs would do well to take Prozac!

Sorry I forgot the Y2K bug which, as you remind me, was deliberately installed into the computers with the intention of creating global chaos. I guess that is the reason why IT stocks are flying through the roof today. Good forward planning.

I hadn't thought about a silver standard but, I guess, something will have to be done with all the unwanted silver, now that digital photography has taken over from the silver emulsion.

Also, as guru Tom has mentioned, 1998 = 999 and 1999 = 1 + 999. The triple nine being the number of the Devil!
