The company has amended the terms of the finder's fee agreement with George Read Consulting as announced in Stockwatch Oct. 26, 1998. The agreement has been extended to Sept. 30, 1999 and applies to locating third parties to participate in the staking of new claims within the permit boundaries of the company's Victoria Island property.
The company has entered into an agreement dated Feb. 12, 1999 with Newfoundland Mining & Exploration Ltd., to bring the company's interest to 100 per cent in each of licence No. 4105, 4420, 4421, 4422, 4567, 4568 and 4775M, subject to a 1 per cent net smelter return royalty. Under the agreement, Major General will issue 87,500 units to NME, each unit comprising one share and one warrant to purchase an additional share at 35 cents in the first year and 40 cents in the second.
