I have spoken about gap ups in CNET, GNET and CMGI for the past few days.. the best way to get into these hi-flyers is not to get in,, which means to get in the night before for the gap up the next day. CMGI was on the earnings calendar as soon as last Wednesday so I was prepared for the uptrend and other posters were prepared as well.

I am a newbie, and I am waiting on the sidelines with some cash for a new <ALERT> and not getting into the stocks that may well be at the end of their upswing trajectory...

It is definitely takes some willpower when everyone else seems to be making money hand over fist. But remember, most people don't post their losses and patience is a big part of the game...
