xstuckey - Re: "Cramer reported this morning that Montgomery was saying the Intel PIII launch was just "so-so". I have been unable to find anything on this."

CNBC - Joe Kernen or David Faber, I believe - was discussing the FTC settlement early this morning and then briefly inserted something to the effect that "Montgomery issued 'some type of report' but will now have to withdraw it...".

Most likely, Jonathan Joseph - the Montgomery Genius Analyst - wanted to be sure that he called for a SELL as Intel reached a bottom.

Of Course, at $135 9/16, Jonathan Joseph had Intel at a BUY !

He's good ! Really GOOD !

xstuckey, >>>Cramer reported this morning that Montgomery was saying the Intel PIII launch
was just "so-so". I have been unable to find anything on this.
Anyone have any info?<<<

Intel's senior VP for development Albert Yu says PIII launch is "slightly ahead of ahead expectations", and he also said it's "doing extremely well."

In my experience, Intel either understates or calls things right on, more the former than the latter. Many companies exaggerate to make themselves look better. What Mr. Yu said sounds damn good to me.
