First day after the hostile takeover VLSI closed down a picayune 1/16 on below average volume (most days it was up, except Friday when it maintained its price!). I hope a counter offer comes in a few days.

Why do you, or does anyone, think that PHG didn't offer more than $17 when they went into the hostile buyout? At that point the stock was over 18 and they knew a lot of shareholders would sell on the open market rather than take their offer of 17.
