"Previously suppressed research by Dr Arpad Pusztai on how organs may be damaged and immune systems weakened, increasing the chances of cancer and epidemics, is to be presented..."

The above is a REAL statement from the press in the UK, made TODAY 03/8, DESPITE what top scientists said. Basically, it is a lie that the press printed.

Also, look at this statement from the story and compare it to what I have been saying for weeks:

"Pete Riley of Friends of the Earth said the demand for GM-free ingredients would bring major commercial opportunities for those companies, businesses and countries that could supply them."

Conspiracy??? Yes!

The GM food revolt grows

by Sonia Purnell and Sean Poulter
Fast food firms and a major supermarket chain have joined the growing backlash against 'Frankenstein food' supplies.

Asda became the first of the big four supermarket groups to instruct suppliers to remove all genetically modified (GM) ingredients from its 900 own-label foods, ranging from cake mix to sandwiches.

Pizza Express, Wimpy and Domino Pizza, meanwhile, all claimed to be entirely GM-free in a Friends of the Earth survey of the 11 biggest fast food chains.

Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken told researchers they intended going GM-free soon, while McDonald's - the biggest player with 930 outlets - has already promised to drop two major GM products.

The coatings on the chain's Filet-O-Fish and Fish Fingers, which both include GM corn starch, are to be changed within weeks. McDonald's executives will also investigate the potential for eliminating all GM ingredients, including derivatives such as oil and lecithin, from GM soya.

Perfect Pizza says it is considering going GM-free. But three other chains - Deep Pan Pizza, Pizza Hut and Bella Pasta - say they have no plans to do the same. The Starburger chain was unable to give an answer.

Asda's move, which brings it in line with the Iceland food chain, will intensify pressure on Tesco, Sains-bury and Safeway to follow suit.

All three were until recently opposed even to clearer GM labelling.

Asda chairman Archie Norman said consumers were entitled to a choice of foods which were completely free of GM ingredients. The high street response to the mounting consumer opposition to GM foods has delighted campaigners but comes as a hammer blow to the biotech industry, which has pioneered the new products.

Pete Riley of Friends of the Earth said the demand for GM-free ingredients would bring major commercial opportunities for those companies, businesses and countries that could supply them.

'The fact that these outlets are listening is great news for consumers; unfortunately the Government still continues to ignore the public mood,' he said.

Alarming evidence of the health dangers presented by GM foods will also be made available in full today.

Previously suppressed research by Dr Arpad Pusztai on how organs may be damaged and immune systems weakened, increasing the chances of cancer and epidemics, is to be presented to MPs.

His disturbing findings, obtained after feeding GM potatoes to rats, have not yet been revealed in full.

Dr Pusztai was forced into retirements when he first made his concerns public and only skimpy accounts have been available.

Fast food chains have been prompted to act by new EU proposals to be unveiled this week which will require restaurants and manufacturers to identify the GM ingredients in their foods.
