Consider 64M Ram has a minimum if you plan to upgrade your PC to Windows 2000 next year. As for disk space, it depends on how you use your PC. 3.2 Gig is more the enough if you use it for to write documents and go on the Internet. But if you consider buying a CD-ROM Writer you need space to stock files that you want to copy on the CD. If you make extensive use of high resolution graphics or download and store MP3 files on your disk go with more (at least 6.4).

I would buy more memory before buying more disk space.

Hopes this help.

P.S.: If you upgrade to Windows 2000, you can always add memory at that time. You'll pay less for more then. Does Gigabuys sells memory? ;-)

P.S.: Windows 2000 is in fact Windows NT 5.0. You'll find that Windows NT makes an intelligent use of memory compare to Windows 95. Windows 2000 check if memory pages are already in memory (not used anymore) before loading them from disk. For instance, you start Explorer and you notice you computer reading from your hard disk. Its a little bit slow to load the application. Then you close it and start it again. You'll notice that your computer has not access you disk. Windows 2000 put your memory pages in used again.
