I accumulated a substantial position in VTS between 8.75 and 9.25, and it is off limits to trading for at least a week. Waiting for all the REALLY short sighted traders who bought last week to clear out their shares below 12.

Fund selling appeared to finish today. Don't think you will see the 8's again anytime soon.

Slider:

Sometimes even the smartest investor can outsmart himself by trying to play every jiggle -- real and perceived. OSX could indeed drop some here if OPEC does not cut, though I doubt if the downside is as great as you think.

But to me the crucial thing is where the OSX will be 6 or 12 months from now. MUCH MUCH HIGHER. So I am not selling here, but am not buying more either unless we correct. I don't know about you, but selling too soon has cost me far far more over the years than selling too late.

I for one don't think OPEC is going to make cuts. I just can't see Chavez (Venezuela) cutting more.

I think people are forgetting that consolidation still hasn't occurred in this sector. Lots of rumblings so far. I expect some marriages this spring. I believe some of these upswings are due to buyout possibilities. Watchout!

Happy Trading,
