LindyBill, I agree that AMD has no impact. I would not be surprised to see Intel take off tomorrow as well as Microsoft.
Intel is working its way back to near monopoly status again---great management. They did not need the bad PR from the trial.

Consumers can turn against Intel faster than they will against Microsoft. why? Simply because MSFT's products interface with the user while Intel's don't. They could not afford to take the chance with bad PR. In the case of Microsoft, consumers/corporations have a bigger committment since a lot of training has been invested in companies' staff. No "training" is required to use a Pentium chip!!!
