Johnd, I don't get this date of record business. How would influence trading in the stock??
thanks.

BTW--that story about SQL Server being more cost effective that I posted this morning just hit the regular newswires (checked Yahoo!)
It is a good idea to check on Bloomberg.com because they get the news out sooner many times.

johnd,

>Tomorrow is the last day prior to 3 trading day for settlement for the record date of 12th.

How come you care so much about "the record date" ? Based on my experience on the internet split play, Stocks tend to move up a week before the ex-pay date instead of the record date. Please check the daily chart of AMZN, YHOO, EBAY, CMGI, and CNET (split today), and you will understand my meaning.

Tomorrow is the last day prior to 3 trading day for settlement for the record date of 12th.

Record date is meaningless. Think about it. If you had to own the stock on the record date to get the 2:1 split then the day after the record date the stock would drop in half. This doesn't happen until the X-date.
