Gateway CFO expected on CNBC at 5:20. Should be very interesting. Might get a Pentium III comment.

Michael: I posted my concerns about Intel's margins at ~140, but unfortunately did not sell. Those concerns were based entirely on Intel's ability to grow profits at a rate commensurate with the multiple embodied in its valuation. I would be interested in seeing your model. How much weight do you give to money-flow supply (401/IRA) supporting generally higher PE's for the foreseeable future? How do you weight Intel's continuing growth in the higher-margin space that they chase SUN/SGI etc. out of? (I do not think the AMDs will gain much ground there.)

Re: "Price remains everything;...other worries are details...valuation trumps all at the end of the day...Intel's fair value? I still think it's under $100..."

If this is true, I would have to estimate Intel's fair value at the end of THIS day as about $119.63, assuming price really IS everything.
All the other valuations must be just details. I wish we could buy shares at your estimated value, but on the other hand, five weeks from today, it will be possible to buy all the shares we can afford at under $100.
