I would tend to agree with your assessment ... I think a clear indicator
is that AMD had to "jack up" the supply voltage on their highest speed
parts. All it would take would be a slight "drift" in the IC process and
"top speed" bins yields could go to ZERO. I mean, how many 350/366Mhz
systems could they possibly sell ... Not exactly the "sweet spot".

i agree on the layoffs, a positive, but one that was unknown. but even i knew about the earlier yeild and potential loss problems, though the loss is now confirmed. however, in my experience, when someone says we MAY have a loss, they mean get ready for a loss. the stock price indicates that it has been factored in.

maybe a point on the downside, but i doubt it. its just already in it.
