FLYR is supposed to be finishing up a unified Web site under the navigant.com domain sometime soon (this quarter). Management does seem eager to help the investment community understand the Internet's place in its business, which may help provide a spark at some point.

The fact is, though, FLYR is not using the Net in the kind of sexy way that the mo-mo players love. They're using it to add efficiencies to their operations and to add value to their relationships with their corporate clients. They're not using it as a PTVL-like or IFLY-like retail stop. This makes tremendous sense within the FLYR business model: why on earth should they scrounge to get low-margin consumer business, rather than shift away from their more lucrative value-added corporate relationships? But efficiencies, value-added services: it may take awhile for this to sink in and excite investors who are so dazzled by the glamour of the retailers.

I emphasize: FLYR is doing exactly what it should be doing with the Net, IMO, to build its business. They're defending profit margins and enhancing value-added services to their corporate clients. But I'm not sure how much sex appeal this will hold for the mo-mo crowd.
