AMD's problems are more that of execution, actually, lack of it, as in low yields that creep in over and over, than they are the competition. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Get serious. Two months ago a 450 MHz CPU would have sold for almost $500.

It is absurd to blame AMD for low yields at 400/450 MHz. They have been moving up the speed curve (from 233 MHz) at breakneck speed.
