(Intel is whistling by the graveyard more than usual with PIII. Some of their statements are downright silly. And it is not like you need a PIII to get on the net.)

But they are trying to encourage sites to have PIII preferential content. If your machine can upload an PIII ID, your downloads get priority on the server. If you have an AMD chip, you get a virus.
