I don't know what Buchanan statement you're referring to, but Buchanan is an isolationist and against free trade. As far as immigrants insuring the demise of the Republican party, tell that to the Cuban-Americans. People all over the world want to immigrate to this country for political and economic freedom......last I heard Republicans were in favor of both.

Many of us no longer regard Pat as a conservative, but as a right-wing populist. He has come out for tariffs and industrial policy as well.
