trey,

<CNBC reports the traders are saying this is old news.>

Well....now that's a reliable meaningful source <g>. Actually, to many people who follow the CPU industry closely, this is not a surprise. However, layoffs, "significant" loss (as opposed to may show a loss), and continuing yield problems are hardly old news, especially to the hopelessly naive AMD investors.

Trey,

CNBC reports the traders are saying this is old news.

Old news? Layoffs and a 10% shortfall in unit sales?

Please point me to the "old news" story which mentions this information, and please don't use abusive names when you address me.

Trey,

Re: "scum and all--"

I just saw this on the newswire:

AFTER THE BELL ... "Trading in Advanced Micro Devices Inc.
(NYSE:AMD - news) was halted on news the company expected a
''significant loss'' in its first quarter and that it planned
to cut 300 jobs during the next two quarters."

Tomorrow should be interesting ... I guess you touched Scumbria "sensitive
spot", Trey. <ggg>

Make It So,
