Warner owns less than 10,000 shares. I had the opportunity to speak with him about that and he emphasized that his options, which number in the millions, are his real incentive and provide the same motivation as outright ownership. I disagreed, since I really believe that when you have actual net worth, not opportunity worth, on the line, your motivation level increases. And I pointed out that even if the options don't work out, he made $1 million in salary and bonus last year, which ain't a bad living. But his comment was: people like me are not in this for a million, we're in it for $50 million (which of course, only happens when you make you options pay). I understand, but it is still upside without the accompanying risk.
