Mike,
You interpreted the news correctly. This is MORE of the same old AMD story of continuing process problems. Someone else on the thread commented that Intel is trading unchanged on this news. Of course it is, because they will make up any shortfall that AMD has at the low end with Celeron. The piece of news we have not heard before is the layoffs. It is probably indicative of their financial situation becoming more and more grim. As someone posted on another thread 'the bank a'comin for AMD sooner than you think' <ggg>.
