Happy, I have about 30 stocks. All long term in the sense That I buy gradually and hold for a long time (months, years). I buy them when they are crashed, and sell if and when they double or higher. I don't trade them daily. Amazon is an exception and has become an obsession. I would like to make a profit from shorting it. I really want to learn from other people's experience here. With other stocks, I really don't care. With oil drilling, or construction equipment, or semi equipment what can you learn from the thread that is not in the news sources ? But Amazon is a kind of mystery, since the company has no profits in sight, or in any publicly known plan. Yet some people like it a lot. So it is a kind of pure speculation. People aren't buying the stock in the same sense you'd buy Sears or J C Penny or even AMAT. People buy it strictly in the hope that someone else will buy it later for a higher price. It worked for 20 months. It appears to break down the last couple of months. I am very curious if this the end for the unquestioning faith in amzn.
